Can you bring snus and nicotine pouches to Slovakia?
Travellers may bring snus and nicotine pouches into Slovakia for personal use. From another EU country: personal-use quantities, indicative limit 1 kg of tobacco products. From outside the EU: 250 g of tobacco or the equivalent proportional mix per adult traveller. Selling nicotine pouches in Slovakia is legal with restrictions and selling tobacco snus is banned.

Customs and penalties
- Declaration: not required within the allowance
- Penalties: Above-allowance quantities attract customs duty, VAT and excise; unstamped excise goods in commercial quantities can be seized.
- Airport and airline: No specific restriction on pouches or snus in hand or checked luggage.
- Minimum age in Slovakia: 18
Since February 2025 nicotine pouches sold in Slovakia must bear a Slovak control stamp, so bringing in larger quantities of unstamped foreign product is treated as an excise matter. Personal quantities are not pursued.
