Can you bring snus and nicotine pouches to Ireland?
Travellers may bring snus or nicotine pouches into Ireland only within limits. From outside the EU: 200 cigarettes, 100 cigarillos, 50 cigars or 250 g smoking tobacco per adult. Oral smokeless tobacco (snus) may not be imported at all. Tobacco-free nicotine pouches are not tobacco and are not restricted. Selling nicotine pouches in Ireland is legal and selling tobacco snus is banned.

Customs and penalties

Revenue states that 'The import of oral smokeless tobacco is generally prohibited.' Travellers under 17 get no tobacco allowance. Intra-EU travel is governed by personal-use indicative limits, but the oral tobacco prohibition still applies to snus.
