Can you bring snus and nicotine pouches to Uganda?
Travellers may not bring snus or nicotine pouches into Uganda. No allowance applies to snus: the Tobacco Control Act, 2015 makes it an offence to 'bring into the country' a smokeless tobacco product, regardless of quantity. Nicotine pouches are not named but are reported as prohibited. Ordinary cigarettes and pipe tobacco fall under the East African Community passenger allowance (commonly cited as 250 g), which could not be confirmed on the Uganda Revenue Authority site. Selling nicotine pouches in Uganda is banned and selling tobacco snus is banned.
